Welcome to Cottenham Contract Bridge Club. The Club plays duplicate bridge on Fridays in the library at Cottenham Village College, about 5 miles north of Cambridge.

Bridge Programme

• Random teams on the first Friday of each month, reverting to duplicate pairs if there are an odd number of pairs. The clubs does not play teams on other weeks, even if an odd number of pairs are present on a scheduled teams evening.
• Championship pairs on the third Friday of each month (exclusing April). This is an ordinary duplicate event with results contributing to a ladder event for the championship pairs trophy.
• Handicap pairs, on the second Friday of October and March. This is an ordinary duplicate event with a handicap result as well as a scratch result.
• The Club Teams Championship is held on the first Friday in October. Members arrange their own teams for this event.
• The Club Individual Championship, usually held on the last Friday in February. A single session individual duplicate.
• The New Year Party, fun Chicago bridge with food provided by the members and drink provided by the club is held in January, normally on the second Friday.

Dates are occasionally varied to fit around special events such as Simultaneous pairs or the Easter holiday.

Guests and Visitors

Guests (playing with a member) are welcome on any evening except the New Year Party. Visitors are usually welcome except for the Club Teams qualifying heat and the New Year Party. Please contact the secretary, Myriam Warburton on 01480 380753 if you would like to play as a visitor.

The view as you turn into the Village College drive. Click on the image to see an enlarged picture. There is parking in front of the college, to the right and around the island. Enter through the main door at the front and take the corridor to the right. Take the first left in front of a noticeboard with staff photos and exit the building through the door in front of you. The libraru is ahead and to the right.
